This free course introduces the ideas of ChristianScience through a series of short daily lessons designed for reflection and exploration.
Christian Science is a system of thought discovered by Mary Baker Eddy in 1866, and explained in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. She also founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, which continues to share these ideas around the world today.
For more than a century, people have turned to Christian Science for a deeper understanding of God, spiritual identity, and healing.
Through the 3-day or 21-day course, you’ll explore foundational ideas of Christian Science, including God as infinite Love, the spiritual nature of reality, and the possibility of healing and harmony through spiritual understanding. The course is designed to help you reflect on these ideas and consider how they might apply to your own spiritual life. It can deepen your understanding of whatever spiritual path you currently follow.

This project exists simply because we love Christian Science and want to make its ideas accessible, especially to young adults who may never have encountered them before. We believe that Christian Science holds immense transformative power through encounter with God as exemplified by Christ Jesus.

Common Questions
You may be asking questions like:
Is Christian Science faith healing?
Is it prosperity gospel?
Is it Scientology?
Does it reject science or modern knowledge?
The answer to all of these questions is no. Christian Science is a Christian metaphysical system focused on understanding God as Divine Mind and reality as fundamentally spiritual (you’ll learn this through our course!).
Another common question is whether Christian Scientists use medicine or see the doctor. Traditionally, many Christian Scientists rely solely on prayer for physical healing, but practices vary today. Some may rely on prayer alone, and others may seek medical care in addition to prayer. These decisions are ultimately a matter of individual conscience, and you will be respected in your decision.
